The Holy Name Community is incredibly proud of the Varsity Football Team after their 50-43 first round playoff victory over #2 seed Perry Saturday night!

Leading the Green Wave was senior running back Shakif “Fish” Seymour, who rushed for 391 yards and scored six touchdowns. Sophomore quarterback Joe Carter also ran in for a Holy Name touchdown. Senior kicker Marty Wallace was a perfect 6-for-6 on PATs, with Seymour also successfully running in for a two-point conversion to account for all of the season-high 50 points scored by the Namers.

With the win, the Namers continue on in the Division IV playoffs. The next game will be played against #3 seed Mantua Crestwood (9-2) on Saturday, November 14 at Nordonia High School’s William Boliantz Stadium. Gametime is set for 7 p.m. The stadium’s address is 8006 South Bedford Road, Macedonia, OH 44056.

Ticket information for next Saturday’s game versus Crestwood will be released as soon as it is available.
